The Prime Ministerial Advisory Council on Youth (PMACY) was approved by the Cabinet on September 13, 2023 with the aim of enhancing youth involvement and the decision making of the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines through a number of cross-cutting projects, policies, recommendations and programs that add value to youth development and the whole nation.
A total of twenty-nine (29) members were appointed, eleven (11) Core Committee members and eighteen (18) Sectoral Chairpersons. The Core Committee comprises of a Chairman, Anson Latchman, a deputy chairman, Rodney Small, an advisor, Shackell Bobb and secretary Ruth-Ann Williams. The other seven (7) members on the core committee will lend support and are Debrone Burke, Rodan Darron John, Kwesi Allen, Oreika McKenzie, Shackheil Simmons, Chris-Ann Mofford and Augustine Ferdinand.
The eighteen (18) sectors and chairpersons that were approved by the Cabinet are:
- Sports Sector- Zenna Lewis
- Information Technology Sector- Cenus Hinds
- Health Sector- John Keil
- Climate Change- Nafesha Richardson
- The Diaspora- Nyala De Freitas
- Housing- James Campbell
- Media- Chanolde Munroe
- Tourism-Zuleika Lewis
- Church- Caywama Edwards-Cottle
- Agriculture- Makeda Greene
- Creative Industry- Christal Oliver
- Business and Entrepreneurship- Storm Gonsalves
- The Professions- Sherina Slater-Browne
- Labor- Sophia Jackson
- Regional Integration and Foreign Policy- Tamira Browne
- Grenadines- Dillon Ollivierre
- Culture-Javid Rouse
- Education-Kaville Hazlewood
The chairpersons will be under the supervision of the core committee and will be responsible for the various sectors. Subsequent to the appointment of these members additional members will be appointed to the sectors to support the chairpersons in the execution of their mandates.
