The Inaugural Youth Excellence Awards of the Prime Ministerial Advisory Council on Youth took place this year on January 11, 2025. The awards were slated to take place in December 2024 but due to unforeseen circumstance it was postponed nevertheless, it was deemed to be a success. The Inaugural awards saw a total of 129 individuals from more than sixty communities being nominated across 24 categories and Jada Ross being crowned the Prime Minister’s Champion.
The Prime Ministerial Advisory Council on Youth (PMACY) was approved by the Cabinet on September 13, 2023 with the aim of enhancing youth involvement and the decision making of the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines through a number of cross-cutting projects, policies, recommendations and programs that add value to youth development and the whole nation.
Kingstown, St Vincent and the Grenadines - October 23, 2023: The Prime Ministerial Advisory Council on Youth (PMACY) was officially launched on Monday, October 23, 2023, marking a watershed moment in the Government's commitment to youth empowerment. The event, held at the Methodist Church Hall in Kingstown, brought together Government officials, community leaders, and youth advocates to usher in a new era of young engagement and participation in decision-making.
