Biographies of Nominees
Isherta Nanton
Isherta Nanton is a skilled and passionate culinary professional from St. Vincent and the Grenadines with broad experience in both kitchen operations and customer service. She began her journey as a Private Chef, specializing in menu development, baking, and cooking. At Sandals Resort St. Vincent, she served as a Chef Level 1, honing her skills in sushi making, grilling, and supervision. Advancing to Chef Level 3 at Sandy Lane, Canouan, she assisted the pastry chef, developed menus, and prepared sushi and pizzas while managing shift reports.
Her role as a Line Cook/Sushi Chef at Lavue Boutique Hotel and Beach Club further enhanced her expertise in grilling, pizza, salad, and sushi preparation. Earlier in her career, she gained valuable front-of-house experience as a Waitress at Signature Restaurant and Bar and as an Assistant Cook and Waitress at Pembroke Vines. Dedicated, creative, and hardworking, Isherta continues to refine her craft and deliver exceptional culinary experiences.
Renardo Rogers
Renardo Rogers is a skilled culinary professional with over nine years of experience in both restaurant and private kitchen environments. Originally from the community of Biabou, he developed a passion for cooking at an early age and has successfully turned that passion into a thriving career. Renardo began his education at the Biabou Government School and continued at the St. Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence, creativity, and professionalism in the culinary arts. Known for his humility, dedication, and attention to detail, Renardo continues to refine his skills and expand his expertise within the culinary field.
Raniel Thomas
Raneil Thomas is a 19-year-old aspiring tradesman from Overland, St. Vincent. A graduate of Sandy Bay Secondary School, he furthered his technical education at the Georgetown Technical Institute, where he completed a one-year program in carpentry. Raneil is currently employed on a construction site in Georgetown as an assistant carpenter, gaining valuable hands-on experience and developing his skills in the field. He is dedicated to improving his craft and aims to build a successful career in the construction industry.
Amaziah Morris
Amaziah Morris is a passionate and goal-driven student of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College, where he studies Law, Sociology, Literatures in English, Communication Studies, and Caribbean Studies. Although his main focus is academic, his curiosity and hands-on drive led him to excel in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
As a trained bartender under the SVGCC Centre for General and Continuing Education, Amaziah gained valuable experience in restaurant operations and led his team with creativity and professionalism during their final practical. He graduated as one of the top students in the course, demonstrating strong leadership and innovation. Amaziah graduated as valedictorian from high school in 2024, he also received the Community Impact Award through the YASIP Youth Agriculture Internship with the Zero Hunger Trust Fund. Amaziah continues to perfect his craft in mixology while inspiring other young people to embrace both academic and technical.
Jesse Seth Caine
Jesse Cain was born in the humble village of Parkhill to Grafton Cain and Chantice Dublin (now Bowens). At a young age, he moved with his mother to Fancy, where he began his formal education at the Fancy Primary School. He later returned to Parkhill to live with his aunt, continuing his studies there until the first year of secondary school.
Jesse joined the Thomas Saunders Secondary School, where he earned a scholarship from the St. Vincent Lotteries, a reflection of his intelligence and potential. However, life presented several challenges that affected his academic performance, resulting in him repeating Form 1 and Form 3. Frequent relocations, including displacement caused by the eruption of La Soufrière volcano, led to financial and emotional difficulties and interruptions in his education.
Determined to overcome these setbacks, Jesse refocused on his goals, drawing strength from his sister and faith in God. His renewed commitment paid off when he graduated with six CSEC subjects, including a Grade I in Industrial Technology and a Grade II in Technical Drawing, emerging as the top performer in his class for technical subjects.
Today, Jesse is pursuing studies in Architecture and Building Construction Technology at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College, continuing his journey toward a promising career. His story is one of perseverance, faith, and hope, a testament to his belief that with determination and God’s guidance, his future will continue to grow brighter with every new chapter.
Jadiel Riffin
Jadiel Riffin, a 23-year-old entrepreneur from Villa, is the proud founder of PitStop Auto Ltd. His journey began with a passion for art that evolved into a deep appreciation for automotive craftsmanship. After gaining valuable experience as a bodywork and spray technician at Tows R Us Inc. and Rent and Drive, Jadiel decided to take his skills to the next level by opening his own garage. What started as a small venture quickly grew into PitStop Auto Ltd.—a thriving business specializing in vehicle rentals, repairs, and the importation of auto parts and vehicles for sale. Through hard work, innovation, and a commitment to excellence, Jadiel has built one of the fastest-growing vehicle rental and import companies in the area. His vision is to continue expanding PitStop Auto Ltd. with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and exceptional customer service.
Goldeen Kirby
Goldeen Kirby is a dedicated hospitality and tourism professional from St. Vincent and the Grenadines with a strong background in education, training, and service excellence. She is currently pursuing a BSc in Tourism and Hospitality Management at the University of the West Indies Global Campus, building on her qualifications in Travel and Tourism, Culinary and Hotel Management, and Education and Training.
Her career includes extensive teaching experience at the Barrouallie Technical Institute, where she serves as a Housekeeping Teacher and previously volunteered as a Food and Drinks Assistant Teacher. Goldeen has also worked in the hospitality industry as a Restaurant Server at Young Island Resort, a Hostess and Room Attendant at The Crane Resort in Barbados, and as an Assistant Teacher under the YES Programme.
A certified CVQ Assessor, Master Trainer, and Train-the-Trainer graduate, Goldeen is passionate about skill development and youth empowerment in technical education. Recognized as Student of the Year at Central Leeward Secondary School, she continues to blend professionalism, leadership, and mentorship in all areas of her work.
Ashron Robinson
Ashron A. Robinson is a dedicated and hardworking construction professional from Belair, West St. George, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, born on August 9, 1992. Known for his flexibility, commitment, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team, Ashron brings extensive experience in residential and commercial construction projects. He possesses basic Spanish language skills and is a quick learner, consistently applying his knowledge to deliver high-quality results.
Ashron attended Emmanuel High School in Mesopotamia and furthered his studies at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College in Villa. He also holds an Electrical Safety Certificate.
He is currently the Managing Director of Project Masters SVG, where he coordinates and oversees various construction projects, specializing in carpentry, plumbing, tiling, drywall, and finishing work. Ashron has also worked as a subcontractor at Holiday Inn Express, managing culture stone installation, pool deck tiling, furniture installation, and ceiling framing. Previously, he served as a carpenter with M&M Construction in Tortola, BVI, and held construction supervisory roles with Ridgeview Construction and Glasgow Construction, as well as a Maintenance Officer role with Glossy Bay Construction in Canouan. Throughout his career, Ashron has demonstrated strong leadership, project management skills, and a commitment to delivering projects efficiently and to specification.
Renardo Richards
Renardo Rogers is a professional chef from Biabou, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, with over nine years of experience in both restaurant and private kitchen settings. He discovered his passion for cooking at an early age, which has driven his successful culinary career.
Renardo received his early education at Biabou Government School and continued at St. Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his creativity, professionalism, and attention to detail. He spent six years honing his skills at Cotton House Hotel and an additional three years working at the guest house Yemanjà, consistently demonstrating dedication, humility, and a commitment to culinary excellence.
Keishown Deroche
Keishown De Roche is an 18-year-old aspiring culinary professional from Largo Height. A proud graduate of the Campden Park Technical Institute, he excelled in the Food Preparation Division, earning recognition as an outstanding student. Currently employed as a cook at Lano Restaurant in Diamond, Keishown continues to refine his culinary techniques and broaden his experience in the hospitality industry. With a strong passion for food and creativity, his long-term goal is to own and operate his own restaurant, contributing to the growth of the local culinary scene.
Jemel Samuel
Jemel Samuel is a 26-year-old professional from Pembroke, St. Vincent. He attended the Campden Park Technical Institute, where his dedication and perseverance earned him the honor of Valedictorian. Guided by faith and a strong work ethic, Jemel began his career at Thorne’s Electrical, where he continues to apply his skills and commitment to excellence in his field.
Kasankie Williams
Kasankie Williams credits the Kingstown Technical Institute (KTI) as the turning point in his life and career, transforming uncertainty into confidence and ambition. Through the YATE Programme, he first pursued CVQ General Construction, followed by CVQ Electrical Installation, gaining over two years of valuable technical training that combined classroom learning with hands-on experience. Today, Kasankie serves as an Assistant Operator at St. Vincent Electricity Services (VINLEC)—a role he describes as deeply rewarding. Reflecting on his journey, he encourages others to embrace technical education, emphasizing that while the path may be challenging at first, the rewards and opportunities it brings are truly life-changing.
Akeah Solomon
Akeah Solomon is a diligent and self-reliant professional from Barrouallie, Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, known for her meticulous attention to detail and strong team spirit. She currently serves as a Butler at Mandarin Oriental Canouan, where she warmly welcomes guests, coordinates personalized dining and entertainment experiences, and ensures that guest rooms and suites exceed hotel standards.
In addition to her hospitality career, Akeah is the CEO and founder of Scrub and Bloom, a skincare brand where she oversees marketing, raw material procurement, and the production of facial scrubs, masks, and moisturizers. She also has experience providing spa services, including personalized treatments, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
Earlier in her career, Akeah worked as a cashier at Douglas Wholesale, managing transactions and ensuring accurate pricing. She holds certifications in Front Desk operations, cosmetics, and massage therapy from Barrouallie Technical Institute, and has completed the Heilbron Hospitality Butler Certificate.
Akeah’s skills span customer service, hospitality management, sales and marketing, procurement, production, and inventory management. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, baking, T-shirt painting, and basket weaving.
Sarine Samuel
Sarine Hannaway is a hospitality and culinary professional from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, based in New Rochelle, NY. She holds a BBA in Hospitality Management (2023) and an AAS in Baking and Pastry Arts (2022) from Monroe College, as well as certifications in Culinary Management and Culinary Skills from Nova Scotia Community College and DTVE College, SVG.
Sarine has experience across hospitality and culinary roles, including Graduate Residence Director at Monroe University, Junior Pastry Chef at Young Island Resort, Line Cook at Ristorante a Mano, and Owner/Manager of Sasspirations in SVG. She has also worked in front desk services, tutoring, and student mentorship, demonstrating strong leadership, creativity, and organizational skills.
Active in volunteering and student organizations, Sarine contributes to community engagement and supports academic and personal growth. She is proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Tamara Browne
Tamara Browne is a dedicated professional from Barrouallie, St. Vincent, with nearly fifteen years of experience in customer service. Recently, she transitioned into the technical field, completing a Level 1 CVQ program in Electrical Installation and General Construction at Kingstown Technical Institute. She also holds certificates in Soft Furnishing and Cake Baking & Decorating, and has completed CAPE and CSEC subjects in Communication Studies, Law, Literature, and other core areas.
Tamara’s career includes roles as Head Teller at St. Vincent Building and Loan and Electrical Installation Instructor at CPTI, where she managed cash transactions, reconciliations, and staff training. She is highly skilled in communication, organization, and time management, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Beyond her professional work, Tamara is passionate about youth engagement, volunteering, and personal development. She enjoys reading, cooking, baking, hiking, and contributing to her community through church and youth leadership activities.
