Award: Youth Champion in Architecture

Mr. James Campbell is a very focus and committed Architectural Designer, Construction Management and Lecturer who originally hails from Spring Village, North Leeward, but currently resides in Central Kingstown. In 2013 with his passion for Architectural Designing, James journey to Taiwan where he pursued a Bachelor and Master degree both in Architecture. Pre, during and post pursuing his studies, James has gained a lot of experience working at the AIA international Airport, Liu Kocheng Architects and Moulton Mayers Architects. During his studies in 2018, James was fortunate enough to attend an Architectural workshop in Indonesia for Asian Architecture and Urbanism. Apart from Architecture, James is also very passionate about the field of construction where he gains many years of experience as a Site Manager, Site Supervisor and Clerk of Works. In 2019, James embarked on an entrepreneurial journey where he created his brand “Camative Architectural Design”. While building a brand may have looked effortless from the outside, starting a business alone was far from effortless. During his entrepreneurial journey, James was recently selected to design a multi-duplex housing project for the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and will soon be part of the management team who will be responsible for the construction of the housing project. With the task of being a lecturer, James remains focus on educating and shape the next generation in the field of Architecture and Construction.

Lorenzo Bacchus hails from Sharpesdale and currently resides in Taiwan. He has pursued his love of Architecture, Engineering and Construction all the way to Taiwan to acquire a BSc. in Architecture and a MSc. in Civil Engineering and Disaster Prevention. During his time in Taiwan, he established Bacchus Design and Construction in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and went on to win the Hon. Henry Channon Award for his design of the Cumberland Nature Trail. The final project of his Bachelor’s degree also focused on a Regeneration of Kingstown with a focus on incorporating existing materials and new materials to ensure that the city maintains its historical significance in a sustainable and cost effective manner. While in Taiwan, Lorenzo has been gathering knowledge and experience working on various construction projects, from Power Plants and Police Bureaus to Sky rises and apartment complexes, as an engineer, BIM engineer, site manager and many other roles. His aim is to apply this knowledge for the betterment of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, its people and the rest of the diaspora.

Raised in the Southern Grenadines on Union Island, He have always had a passion for the arts and sciences, leading him to pursue architecture—a perfect blend of both fields. As an Architectural designer, He is detail-oriented and driven by a desire for perfection. He loves architectural model making and deriving designs from concepts rooted in people, places, and contexts. His experiences have taught him the value of teamwork, self-awareness, and continuous improvement. Combining these traits with his current work experience enables him to deliver high-quality results in a competitive environment while maintaining a commitment to excellence.

Jede has a passion for architecture and is fascinated by how spaces shape human experience. He graduated the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College with an associate degree in Architectual Building Construction in 2017. Mr. Leighton has worked on various projects with different companies. During the period 2018-2021 he worked with Moulton Mayers Architects as a Junior Draftsman and created 2D and 3D models and construction documents. Similarly, during 2022- 2023 he worked with Ashwa Stewart in a similar capacity. Currently, he is with Stewarts Engineering Ltd. as an Architectural Technician and is performing the same tasks.
