Our health is our wealth and the foundation for us to move forward lies within our health. This sector seeks to address issues pertaining to both physical and mental well-being by lobbying with the other sectors to drive change through further collaboration, initiatives, activities, education and research.

Mission

Through education, motivation, and influence, we strive to empower and advocate for the youth by providing them with access to information, support and ensuring they are equipped to maintain healthy lives, make informed decisions, and actively participate in the well-being of their communities.

 Objectives

  1. To educate our nation's youth on health and well-being from different facets within the health sector.
  2. To educate the populace on the importance of one’s mental health.
  3. To build capacity and enhance collaboration within the Health Sector
  4. To leverage technology and data to enhance and advance healthcare.
  5. To assess the fees within the health sector to ensure the sustainability of the sector.

Scope of Services:

The specific objectives are as follows:

Conduct, in consultation with all relevant stakeholders (Government, Ministry of Health, Practitioners etc.) a Health Sector readiness assessment for the development of the Health Sector in line with regional and international best practices and frameworks, determine the most sustainable and effective approach for the implementation of recommendations to drive the sector within St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

  1. The assessment should include a review of the skills, policies, programs, legislation, general services, and infrastructure that are currently available within the sector and provide recommendations to build capacity and improve healthcare.
  2. The assessment should explore the possibility of establishing local air medical services.
  3. The assessment should include an evaluation of the usage of information technology within the sector and provide recommendations for the usage of data for greater efficiency, recommendations for a platform for the dissemination of information, health care and health statistics while maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
  4. Relative to (A) recommendations should be made in preparation for another health pandemic.
