Background
Tourism plays a vital role in the economy of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. It provides employment opportunities, diversifies the economy, promotes cultural and environmental conservation, fosters social and cultural exchange, and supports small-scale businesses. The Government has invested and continues to invest in the majority of the infrastructure needed to drive Tourism forward. This island chain is known for its sun, sand, and sea and together with additional investments and the youth in the sector, undoubtedly there will be further advancements in the sector all other things being equal.

To empower and engage the youth in promoting sustainable tourism while transforming and maintaining the tourism industry as a dominant economic force.
Mission
We aim to provide a platform for young individuals interested in tourism to come together, express their ideas, and actively contribute to the development and promotion of responsible tourism practices. Through innovative initiatives and partnerships, we strive to enhance the social, cultural, and economic benefits of tourism in our communities.
Objectives
- Raise awareness among the youth and the public about the importance of tourism through education and collaboration.
- Encourage more youth to actively participate in tourism-related projects by providing training, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
- Identify and recommend innovative ideas and initiatives that contribute to the tourism industry's sustainability and growth.
- Support research and innovation in sustainable tourism practices, exploring new technologies, solutions, and business models that contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals while enhancing the visitor experience.
Scope of Service:
The specific objectives are as follows:
Conduct, in consultation with all relevant stakeholders (Tourism Authority, Ministry of Tourism, AIA, Port Authority, Hoteliers etc.) a Tourism Sector readiness assessment for the development of the Tourism Sector in line with regional and international best practices and frameworks, determine the most sustainable and effective approach for the implementation of recommendations to drive the sector within St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
- The assessment should include an evaluation of the marketing strategy, tactics, target markets and branding elements.
- The assessment should include a review of infrastructure improvements, accommodations, tourist attractions, transportation, revenue streams and identify new/ additional sites for development.
- The assessment should include an evaluation of the level of capacity within the sector and recommend strategies to build competencies within the sector.
- Recommend performance measurement monitoring system (s) to inform decision making and assess the tourism value chain and logistics while leveraging the diaspora to promote SVG.
